Description
This Microslide® lesson set consists of a Microslide® strip showing various stages of meiosis and an explanatory manual containing factual information to stimulate, inform, and question the student about the topic. The manual also features a handy pocket in which the Microslide® strip may be stored. A Microslide® strip displays 8 related 35-mm images as photographed through a microscope, with important features highlighted. This Microslide® strip includes images of the primary oocyte (tetrads formed, dyads separated, tetrads on spindle, first polar body forming), the secondary oocyte (chromosomes formed), the mature egg, the pronucleus stage, and the zygote ready for first cleavage.
