Description
Students initiate nodal cultures on a defined medium in test tubes and force the formation of multiple shoots. Shoots are then rooted and transferred to soil. Includes all necessary materials except miniature rose bush (can be purchased locally), 100- and 10-mL graduated cylinders, 70% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol, household bleach, vermiculite or soil, and pots. The Classroom Kit, for 30 students, contains 30 tubes each of initiation and rooting media. Note: Keep media closed and in cool location until use. Kit and perishable material ship separately and may arrive on different days.
