Description
Grade 11–College. The Carolina® Magnetics System 2 Physics Kit, which supplements the Carolina® Magnetics System 1 Physics Kit (item #751165), comes with 17 components, including all the magnetic bars and coils needed to investigate core concepts in introductory magnetism. Kit has enough material for 1 group of 2 to 4 students to perform the activities. Note: The Carolina® Magnetics System 1 Physics Kit (item #751165, purchased separately), is required for some activities. Kit components come in a metal ballistics case with high-density foam inserts for easy storage and long life.
With this kit students can explore common experiments such as Exploring The Differences Between Diamagnetic, Paramagnetic, and Ferromagnetic Substances; Magnetic Field Lines; and Induced Current from a Magnetic Field. The included experiment guide covers 4 activities:
- Diamagnetic, Paramagnetic, and Ferromagnetic Substances
- Predicting Magnetic Field Lines
- Current Induced Magnetic Fields
- Magnetic Field Induced Current
