Drosophila, Living, F₁ sepia x wild Cross, Vial of 50–70

Product Code: 172010

Description

This culture includes F1 fruit flies from a cross between sepia-eyed (se1) female flies and red-eyed (wild type) male flies. The expected F2 ratio is 3 wild type:1 sepia. This is one of the crosses used in AP® Biology Lab 7.

Our Drosophila F1 cultures make it easy to study crosses because we deliver exactly what you need. Each vial contains larvae and pupae of the F1 generation of a cross between 2 different strains of Drosophila. (The parent generation is removed before shipment.) For a complete guide on maintaining and studying Drosophila, including how to culture, anesthetize, and score them, and the genetic notations, consider our Carolina® Drosophila Manual (item #452620).

Note: Please order at least 2 weeks in advance of desired ship date. When culture arrives, remove caps but leave plugs in place. Keep cultures out of sunlight and maintain at 68–77° F (20–25° C).
