Territorial Behavior of House Crickets Kit (with voucher)

Product Code: 143542

Description

Students discover the social behaviors of male house crickets by employing the techniques ethologists use in studying animal behavior. They observe as multiple male house crickets establish territories in a mini plastic terrarium and interact with intruding male and female crickets. Students learn how male house crickets interact differently with male and female crickets, and then construct an ethogram to quantify behavioral data. Materials are sufficient for 32 students working in groups of 4.
