  • Study the patterns of inheritance and genetics in zebra fish and Casper Fish™.
  • Learn about fertilization and embryological development in zebra fish and Casper Fish™.

Grades 9–12. In this kit, students explore the genetics of the zebra fish and Casper Fish™. The parental generation includes 8 male zebra fish and 4 female Casper Fish™. Students cross these 2 phenotypes producing the eggs of the F1 generation. Then they collect fertilized eggs and observe the embryological development of the eggs along with the phenotypes of the embryos.

Kit requires the use of an already established aquarium, which is not included. Detailed fish care instructions, breeding instructions, and background information about zebra fish and Casper Fish™, such as genetics and phases of embryological development, are provided. Kit includes voucher to request the perishable materials later at your convenience. Contact us or return the voucher at least 2 weeks prior to requested delivery date to ensure prompt arrival of materials.
