Description
Drosophila, Living, Apterous(2); Sepia(3), Multichromosomal Mutant. One of the most widely used model organisms in the world, Drosophila express a number of eye, wing, and other mutations that are easy to see. Students can easily study the sex-linked, recessive, and dominant mutations. Plus, Drosophila is affordable, yielding many flies from just one vial of our media.
Each culture vial contains approximately 25–30 adult flies capable of producing over 50 offspring (1–2 per adult) over a span of 2 weeks, given proper care and environmental conditions.
