Description
Grades 9–12.
- Explore some current energy technologies
- Produce forms of alternative energy
- Demonstrate the pros and cons of each
Students first rotate through several stations and observe different energy technologies. Each student group produces coal gas and hydrogen gas, and experiments with a photovoltaic cell. In the final section of the lab, students build a working wind turbine and try to optimize the energy output it produces.
Kit includes enough materials for at least 30 students working in groups. Receive a FREE digital Teacher’s Manual and Student Guide with kit purchase.
