Description
Grades 6–12. Introduce your students to wheels and axles, then extend that lesson to provide a basic understanding of gear torque, rotation, and direction change. As student groups build a model car, they soon discover the trade-off between force and speed.

Kit includes a teacher’s manual with reproducible student guide and the materials for 10 groups of 2 to 3 students. Common household tools and classroom supplies are needed but not supplied.
