Description
For a comprehensive overview of waves and their properties, try the Waves and Communications (Information Transfer) Kit Bundle. Students build an AM crystal radio, study seismic waves, build a wave machine while sending Morse code signals, and much more.
During the activities, students study electromagnetic, seismic, and mechanical waves, exploring wave properties such as speed, amplitude, and frequency; energy transfer; and how information is modulated as a signal and demodulated as the foundation of our modern communication systems. Students also learn about electrical components (capacitors, diodes, etc.) and their structure and function.
Each of the 3 kits in this bundle come with free 1-year access to digital resources that support 3-dimensional instruction for NGSS.
The kits are designed to integrate into a larger unit of lessons addressing wave mechanics, electricity, magnetism, and electromagnetism.
