Description
Propel innovation straight from the Everglades with the Air Racer! Students perform engineering tradeoffs, designing the racer for speed, distance, or style, as they construct the frame and propeller blades using an electric motor. Using real tools they learn from experimentation, crafting, and iterative design as they progress through the engineering process to create unique designs.
Students can use recycling bin materials, 3-D printed elements, or other components to create propeller blades. This activity features TeacherGeek® mini hub assemblies. Build your own unique propellers by changing blade shape, angle, or size. Promote creativity and true innovation—ideal for science fairs, clubs, classrooms, or even the kitchen table. Activities are aligned to NGSS and other state/national standards.
