Description
Pill bugs and sow bugs are excellent examples of environmental adaptation. They’re crustaceans that live on land—yet breathe through gills! Porcellio (sow bugs) will play dead or run away when disturbed. Armadillidium (pill bugs) roll into a protective ball when nudged. Use these easy-care animals to teach topics such as evolution, adaptation, behavior, and much more. Also recommended for use with AP® Biology Lab 11: Animal Behavior.
Field-collected pill bugs and sow bugs. With instructions. Order will include our choice of either pill bugs or sow bugs. Pack of 25.
