For a class of 16 students working in groups of 4. Using this kit, your students learn the basic principles of inheritance within a population of 1 of the most widely used model organisms, Drosophila melanogaster. Students observe how mutations are passed from 1 generation to the next and then construct a hypothesis describing the mode of inheritance.
Note: Kit contains your choice of 2 parental Drosophila cultures.

Note: Kit contains your choice of 2 parental Drosophila cultures. Choose from the following parental strains: wild type; Bar; white; eyeless; apterous; brown; dumpy; vestigial; ebony; sepia; wrinkled; yellow; forked attached; white(1)/apterous(2); Curly/Plum(2); and Dichaete/Stubble(3). Keep Drosophila cultures at room temperature; do not refrigerate. Please order at least 2 weeks in advance of desired ship date.
