Description

Our Drosophila F₁ cultures make it easy to study crosses because we deliver exactly what you need. Each vial contains larvae and pupae of the F₁ generation of a cross between 2 different strains of Drosophila. (The parent generation is removed before shipment.)

This culture includes F₁ fruit flies from a cross between vestigial-winged, red-eyed females and male winged flies with ebony-colored bodies. The expected F₂ ratio is 9 wild type:3 vestigial:3 ebony:1 vestigial ebony.

Each vial will produce approximately 50–70 adult flies over a span of 10–12 days, given proper care and environmental conditions.
