Description
Build excitement around water distillation by allowing students to design, construct, and test their own water distillation apparatus. Inside a classroom setting, your students will gain hands-on experience with evaporation and distillation while using an incandescent light source to model solar energy. They will also gain real-world experience using distillation to remove contaminants (salt) from water.
Students compete to produce the most contaminant-free water in a 24-hr period. This kit is designed for a class of 30 students working in pairs.
