Description
Grades 9–12. Increase your students’ awareness of an important global issue, air quality, and human impact on it. Student groups rotate through 8 workstations, investigating the effect of various pollutants. The activities—examining the effects of air pollutants on fabrics, investigating light pollution, collecting and examining particulate matter, simulating acid rain and its effects, and demonstrating the acidity of smoke—and classroom discussions help students consider air quality from a local and global perspective.
Kit accommodates a class of up to 32 students working in groups of 4.
