This luminol-solution spray for forensic blood detection is simple to prepare—just add water, and you’re ready to spray! Simply add 250 mL of distilled water to the dry luminol reagent inside the spray bottle to produce a hydrated solution good for up to 2 days if kept refrigerated. No hydrogen peroxide catalyst needed. It will produce a bright blue glow when applied to luminol reactive substances; perfect for presumptive blood tests, just as they are done at crime scenes.
For simulated blood that will react with Carolina® Forensic Luminol Spray, consider Carolina® Luminol Reactive Forensic Blood (item #212102), and for a non-reactive control, consider Carolina® Simulated Spatter Blood (item #212101).
