Model FC5515. This Ohaus Frontier™ 5000 Benchtop Micro Centrifuge Plus delivers high-speed operation for a range of essential lab applications, such as DNA/RNA preparation, ultrafiltration, and more. Available optional biocontainment rotors enable research involving hazardous samples. Technology drives the high sample throughput. A brushless motor, 10 acceleration and deceleration settings, and memory for up to 99 commonly used parameters are some of the features that propel performance.
Engineered with convenience of operation in mind, the centrifuge features an intuitive interface, with all key parameters immediately accessible for observation and adjustment. The compact design saves valuable bench space in the lab. Safety features include a rotor imbalance sensor and motorized lid locking system.
Speed range is 200 to 15,200 rpm, with a maximum relative centrifuge force of 21,953 g. Holds 44 x 1.5/2.0-mL microtubes and 12 x 5-mL tubes but also can support PCR strips and hematocrit capillary tubes when used with additional rotor options.
