Product Details
Preserved ranch-raised minks are economical dissection specimens for studying mammalian anatomy. Students can examine all mammalian organ systems, including the muscular, digestive, and cardiovascular systems. In addition, these specimens are great alternatives to preserved cats.
All minks are skinned prior to procurement. Due to processing in the mink industry, some may have missing paws or small tears in the musculature on the ventral side of the hind legs or posterior abdomen.

Carosafe®
Carosafe® preservative and holding solution for biological specimens contains no formaldehyde and is not a tissue fixative. Most Carosafe® specimens were first preserved with a formalin solution and then washed before placement in Carosafe®. Specimens are held in Carosafe® prior to shipment, producing formalin-preserved specimens that, when dissected, minimize formaldehyde exposure.
