Grades 9–12. With this kit, students explore how energy moves through an ecosystem. They will:
- Analyze animal remains to determine food chains and energy flow
- Explore environmental impacts based on students’ own food selections
- Create food pyramids based on individual student diets
Students analyze the contents of owl pellets and construct ecological pyramids to represent the data collected. After discussing their results, students are then challenged to apply their knowledge by constructing an ecological pyramid based on the foods they themselves eat.
Kit includes enough materials for at least 30 students working in groups. Receive a FREE digital Teacher’s Manual and Student Guide with kit purchase.
