Description
Introduce students to the basic concepts of microscopy, the structures common in various prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, and scientific inquiry. Performing the set’s activities, students first observe slides showing examples of bacteria, protist, plant, and animal cells. Next, they create diagrams and write detailed descriptions of what they observed. Finally, students conduct a simulated forensic investigation that combines their microscopy, observation, and scientific-inquiry skills.
Includes slides and a detailed teacher’s manual with blackline masters for reproducible student guides.
