Description
With this kit, students simulate the problems associated with acid rain and other forms of pollution and predict the effects of these pollutants on the ocean and its inhabitants. Students then divide into 3 groups representing the large staff divisions of a newspaper. They research, write, edit, do artwork, lay out, and typeset a newsletter about ocean pollution—the sources, pollutants, effects, and present laws. Students then propose actions to prevent and/or reduce the problem. Includes instructions and materials for 24 students.
