Redefining what an educational model can do, the PlayDNA!™ DNA Model Kit Intro Pack lets students build a realistically flexible DNA double helix model that bends, twists, accurately represents all important DNA structures, and most importantly, is fun to learn with! Designed with all learners in mind, the color-coded nucleotide bases feature Braille, are distinguished by different color-shape patterns, and realistically represent differences between purines (A, G) and pyrimidines (C, T) with 2 “hydrogen bond” couplings for AT pairs and 3 for GC pairs. The DNA backbone features different shapes and colors for phosphate groups and sugars with 5′ and 3′ ends marked by male and female pop-bead ends, making it easy to teach the antiparallel structure of DNA.

The PlayDNA!™ DNA Model Kit Intro Pack includes parts sufficient to model one 12-base-pair-long strand of DNA. Multiple packs can be combined to make longer DNA molecules for modeling DNA replication, replication bubbles, and even DNA transcription.
