Redefining what an educational model can do, the PlayDNA!™ RNA Model Kit Intro Pack lets students build a realistically flexible RNA model that bends, twists, accurately represents all important RNA structures, and most importantly, is fun to learn with! Designed with all learners in mind, the color-coded nucleotide bases feature Braille, are distinguished by different color-shape patterns, and realistically represent differences between purines (A, G) and pyrimidines (U, C) with 2 “hydrogen bond” couplings for AU pairs and 3 for GC pairs. The RNA sugar and phosphate backbone features different shapes and colors for easy identification.
The PlayDNA!™ RNA Model Kit Intro Pack includes parts sufficient to model one 16-nucleotide-long strand of RNA. Three packs can be combined to simulate mRNA sequence base pairing with 2 nucleotide tRNA anticodon arms. Additionally, the PlayDNA!™ RNA Model Kit Intro Pack is compatible with PlayDNA!™ DNA Model Kit Intro Pack (item #211490) and 4-Pack Bundle (item #211491) to recreate DNA transcription.
