Description
Overview
Wireless spectrometry at an affordable price.
The PASCO Wireless Spectrometer is specifically designed for introductory spectroscopy experiments. The Bluetooth and USB connectivity enable use with tablets and computers. With this one apparatus, you can measure intensity, absorbance, transmittance and fluorescence, making this a powerful and intuitive tool for your spectroscopy needs. Includes 10 plastic cuvettes and lids.
PASCO’s FREE Spectrometry Software walks you through the process of calibration, performing a full spectrum scan, determining the optimum wavelength for study, and concentration and kinetics experiments.
The software is available for PC®, Mac® and iPads® which makes the PASCO Spectrometer easy to use in any technology setting.

How It Works
Absorbance and Transmittance:
Light from the LED-boosted tungsten light source passes through the solution and a high quality diffration grating. The CCD array detects the light for collection and analysis
The optional Fiber Optic Cable allows you to perform emissions spectroscopy experiments with the PASCO spectrometer. Simply insert the Fiber Optic Cable into the cuvette holder and point the end of the cable at the light source.
Important Note: Solutions used within this spectrometer should be compatible with polystyrene (cuvette material) and ABS (spectrometer housing material). In particular, strong organic solvents such as acetone will damage the cuvettes.
