Description
Contains the materials needed to build larger trusses and bridges, as well as a flexible Road Bed and Car for studying dynamic loading as the car traverses the bridge. Even build rollercoasters!
Special cord locks allow tensioning of cord (cables) for cross-bracing. A flexible plastic road bed clips to the cross-beams and, using load cells, the tension and compression of each element can be displayed in real time.

- Secure the beams with thumb screws
- Thumb screws are also slotted for use with a screwdriver
How It Works
Build larger and more complex bridges:
The Bridge Set includes 120 I-beams of varying sizes for investigating a number of fundamental bridge structures, plus a Road Bed and Car for studying dynamic loading. Add cables to your bridge designs with the cord and cord locks supplied.
Add measurements to your system:
Load Cells provide you the means to accurately measure tension and compression in real-time—anywhere in your structure! You build the Load Cell right into your structure where you want it—and easily relocate it without disassembling the entire structure.
Collect data on your choice of interfaces:
Load cells connect to a load cell amplifier which can then be connected to any current PASCO interface.
